Summer Meltdown Festival

Summer Meltdown Festival is pleased to announce it's return to Darrington, WA!
The 4-day music and camping event will take place August 7th-10th, 2014.

The festival will be returning to its stunning grounds at the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater, with an inspiring view of snowcapped peaks that gives the festival it’s slogan – “Where the music meets the mountain.” In it’s 14th annual incarnation, the festival producers continue to expand not only the festival talent, but also their stewardship of the land and the audience base at one of the most intimate and eclectic independent festivals in the Pacific Northwest.

Featuring an initial lineup aimed to unite participants of all ages through dance, appearances from festival favorites such as STRFKR, Lord Huron, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and Neon Indian will interweave with regional flavors and fresh imported talent from the likes of Five Alarm Funk,  Ill-Esha, Acorn Project, and festival producer Josh Clauson’s own band, The True Spokes.

Tickets for Meltdown include 4 days and nights of onsite camping and unlimited access to all performances. Ticket additions for RVs and Vehicle Camping are also available. Meltdown is a child-friendly event, featuring a crafty Kids Village and discounted event tickets for the youngest among us.

Located only 1.5 hours outside of both Seattle and Bellingham, Summer Meltdown Festival at the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater has become an annual tradition for a core group of friends and family – as well as a new favorite for thousands of Pacific Northwesterners to celebrate the summer, the wilds of Washington, the magic of music underneath Whitehorse Mountain, and the refreshing goodness of a thriving community. With a vendor village for food and crafts, expansive shaded campgrounds, a river for swimming and basking, a yoga tent to warm up your dancing muscles, a beer garden, a kids village, and an initial lineup that promises your ears the moon, everyone is invited to participate as much as they are able through Street Team and Volunteer programs.
